Charlene Hecker, LMFT, Licensed Psychotherapist

Charlene Hecker, M.A., LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist based in Los Angeles and the founder of California Pacific Psychotherapy. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and received advanced training in postmodern and narrative therapy at Miracle Mile Community Practice in Los Angeles. Charlene has been in private practice for eight years.

She served as a mental health consultant with International Medical Corps, providing psychosocial support to individuals during the Los Angeles wildfires. This experience strengthened her foundation in trauma-informed care and crisis recovery, reinforcing her commitment to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments.

Before becoming a therapist, Charlene studied Theater and Cinema at USC and spent over a decade as a Student Advisor at UCLA’s Center for the Performing Arts, where she produced concerts, theater, and dance.

Charlene is dedicated to supporting women’s issues, human rights, and social justice. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, attending music and art events, cooking and exploring new cuisines, reading, and spending time outdoors. She and her husband are celebrating 25 years of marriage this year, and she is a proud mother of two adult children and a beloved German Shorthaired Pointer.
