Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, it provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore your experiences with curiosity and without judgment.
Together, we will make sense of the experiences, patterns, and stories that have shaped your life, build on your strengths, and discover new ways of responding to life's challenges. Along the way, you can reconnect with yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward a life that reflects your values and what matters most.
Over time, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection—to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to create.

The fee for a 50-minute psychotherapy session at California Pacific Psychotherapy is $225.
I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for clients experiencing financial hardship. If those appointments are unavailable, or if I am unable to meet your financial needs, I would be happy to provide referrals to other trusted therapists and community resources.
-
California Pacific Psychotherapy is a private-pay practice and is considered an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of each session.
Choosing to remain a private-pay practice allows therapy to be tailored to your unique needs rather than the requirements of an insurance company. It also offers greater privacy, flexibility, and the freedom to focus on your personal goals without restrictions related to diagnosis, treatment length, or medical necessity.
If you have a PPO insurance plan with out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Upon request, I can provide a superbill—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Because coverage varies by plan, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider before beginning therapy to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits.

California Pacific Psychotherapy accepts ACH bank transfers, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you are ready to begin or simply have questions, I welcome you to reach out. Finding the right therapist is important, and I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about you and discuss how I may be able to support you.

I recognize that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Because your appointment time is reserved especially for you, appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee.
